Applying for Electrical Apprenticeship

Applications:

The New Orleans Electrical Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee accepts applications for electrical apprenticeship each Monday, from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM (except normal holidays), at 3200 Ridgelake Dr., Suite 301
Metairie, LA 70002-4930.  A $20.00 application fee, money order only, must be submitted to apply.  Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• must be a minimum of 17 years of age (18 at the time of indenture)
• high school graduate, GED, or have a two-year Associates Degree or higher
• one (1) full year of high school algebra with a passing grade or one (1) post high school algebra course with a passing grade
• qualifying grade on aptitude test
• physically able to perform the work of an electrical apprentice
• evidence of a valid Louisiana drivers license and reliable transportation
• pass alcohol/drug test

Documented experience in electrical construction will be considered for possible interview opportunities and/or advanced placement.
